Back to School in the 51st!

August 26, 2017 1:40 pm

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

-Nelson Mandela

Dear Prince William friends, family, and neighbors- and especially Students and Teachers!

Monday morning marks the return to school for our Prince William County Public School students.  Their teachers and administrators and school staff have already been hard at work ensuring that their first days back will put them on track for the “World Class Education” we all benefit from here in Prince William.  THANK YOU to everyone who works so hard to make our public schools great!

For those of you not sending a student back, please be courteous and patient on the roads as buses and school zones contribute to traffic.  Also, watch out for crossing guards and children who may be walking to school.  If you need a copy of the bus or bell schedule, you can find it here https://pwcs.edu/cms/One.aspx?portalId=340225&pageId=687868.

For our teachers, thank you for all the extra hours, extra care, and extra passion that you bring to our students each day.  The work you do is directly responsible for our nation having a bright future.

For our students, please work hard this year and take pride in being the best you can be! Even when work is tedious or testing is intimidating, believe in yourself and do your best possible work- it will pay off in the end! I hope to see many of you as I visit classrooms to teach about civics, or to host you in Richmond for a field trip, our 51st District Art Day at the Capitol, or as a future delegate!

For all of those who reside in our district, we’re here for you, 24/7/365. If I or my office can ever be of assistance to you or your family, please never hesitate to contact me at delranderson@house.virginia.gov, by phone at (571) 286-9983, or reach Legislative Aide Tommy Herbert at tommy.delegateanderson@gmail.com for legislative and constituent inquiries.

Sincerely,

RICHARD L. ANDERSON
Delegate, 51st House District
Virginia General Assembly
